At Mentality Behavioral Health Center, we understand that mental health struggles can feel overwhelming and isolating. We provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can receive the expert care needed to find relief. Finding the right medication is a journey, and our team of board-certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners is here to ensure you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Our approach to medication management is rooted in partnership. We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your unique history and goals. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs—whether you are managing ADHD, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, or addiction.
We don’t just prescribe; we collaborate. Our team provides consistent monitoring to evaluate efficacy, minimize side effects, and adjust your care as you evolve. By combining expert clinical oversight with a compassionate understanding of your journey, we aim to maximize your quality of life and help you find lasting hope on the path to recovery.
Your journey begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation (either in-person or via our secure telehealth platform). During this 45–60 minute session, your provider will discuss your medical history, current symptoms, and your goals for treatment. This is a collaborative space for you to ask questions and share your concerns.
If medication is recommended, your provider will explain the "why" behind their choice, including how the medication works and any potential side effects. We believe in informed consent; you are an active participant in deciding which path is best for your lifestyle and health needs.
Our providers often coordinate medication management with other therapy services (psychotherapy and TMS) that are offered at MBHC to ensure an integrated approach to your mental health.
Medication management is not a "one and done" process. You will have regular follow-up appointments, initially more frequent and then spacing out as you stabilize. During these visits, we monitor your progress, adjust dosages if necessary, and ensure the treatment is helping you reach your desired outcomes.
Please reach us at 909-460-8733 or info@mentalitybhc.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
To ensure your treatment remains consistent and safe, we ask that you request refills at least 3 to 5 business days before your medication runs out. You can request a refill through our office staff or by having your pharmacy send an electronic request to our office. Please note that refills are typically only processed for patients who are current with their scheduled follow-up appointments.
At Mentality BHC, your safety is our priority. Controlled substances (such as certain medications for ADHD or anxiety) are prescribed under strict clinical guidelines and in accordance with state and federal laws.
While we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual appointments for your convenience, all new patients are required to have their initial evaluation in person. This allows our providers to conduct a comprehensive assessment and establish a strong foundation for your care. Following the initial visit, follow-up appointments may be conducted via telehealth; however, occasional in-person visits will still be required to meet clinical standards and regulatory requirements for ongoing medication management.
Absolutely. With your written consent, we are happy to collaborate with your primary care physician, therapist, or other specialists. This integrated approach ensures that all aspects of your health are working in harmony.
